Blizzard lays out the rules for the WoW Forever bug report forum

Blizzard explained how the WoW Forever bug report forum should be used, what gets removed, and what a useful report looks like.

A forest at night in World of Warcraft: Forever

The WoW Forever bug report forum guidelines ask people to read them before posting. The forum is for reporting bugs QA might review, try to reproduce, and fix. Off-topic banter doesn’t belong there. Blizzard says guessing and arguing just distracts the people trying to find and reproduce bugs, and posts or replies that aren’t about the bug itself, or the steps and evidence to reproduce it, will get removed. They’re clear about it: “We intend to strictly remove unproductive posts.”

Don’t ask for a blue response either. No reply doesn’t mean something is or isn’t a bug, and it doesn’t mean they ignored the post. “We read every single post in this forum. We cannot reply to all (or even most) threads.”

A report should open with a short summary, one sentence if you can, then numbered steps for how to reproduce it, then what you expected versus what happened. Videos, screenshots, and other details are welcome because that saves them a lot of time. They also want the full character name and the ruleset you were playing when it happened. The point is to make the forum useful for bug reports so they can squash as many as they can.
