How this WoW Forever tier list is ranked
Our ranking is a prediction, not a measurement. Nobody has raided in World of Warcraft: Forever yet, and Blizzard has published named talent detail for exactly one class so far, Paladin, from its September 13, 2026 design panel. So the board starts from vanilla balance and moves specs for the system changes Blizzard has actually confirmed. Everything else is a guess, and the video says which is which.
Four confirmed changes move the most specs. Hit and crit are unified into one stat, and Blizzard’s own recap names Retribution Paladin and Enhancement Shaman as the two specs that helps most. Divine Spirit is baseline, which takes away part of the reason a raid slot went to a Priest. Improved Mark of the Wild is baseline for every Druid, so Restoration has to earn its place on healing alone. And bonus healing now carries a third of its value as bonus damage, which lifts every healer evenly instead of preserving Holy Priest’s lead.
Protection Paladin tops the board because it is the one placement with a Blizzard panel behind it: Consecration in the spellbook, Seal of Fury, where Judging the seal taunts the target, and Templar’s Bulwark as a personal cooldown. Restoration Shaman and Discipline Priest join it in the top row on talent trees we could read but Blizzard has not published, so hold those two more loosely.
The placement we already think is wrong is Enhancement Shaman in the bottom row. It is one of only two specs Blizzard has singled out for an itemization change, and vanilla habit put it there. Drag it up if you disagree, then send us the link. Read the reasoning for every spec in the five specs to play first write-up, and the dates in how to get into the beta.
