WoW Forever hotfixes: talents, tooltips, quests, and a darker barbershop
Blizzard’s November 6 WoW Forever hotfixes correct class bugs, dungeon and quest issues, a leatherworking skill gate, and Thunder Bluff lighting.

These fixes cover a pile of class, dungeon, quest, and world bugs.
Quick and the Dead sometimes did not work as intended. Cooldown Manager now shows crowd control duration even with diminishing returns or reductions, including orc stun reduction. Bloom heals its target again. Bear Form’s tooltip claimed the wrong health increase, and Ravage’s tooltip reported the wrong damage; both abilities were already doing the right thing. Swiftmend’s tooltip no longer says it consumes an effect. Mages were still learning Research and losing it on relog; that spell should not exist, and you should only have Study after the relevant quest. Arcane Blast lasts 18 seconds now. Shank tooltips show Rank 1 and Rank 2, and with Boot Knife they show the combo points it grants. Voidwalker base health is up by about 40 at all levels. Soul Siphon no longer makes Wrack raise its own damage. Reckless Swings’ tooltip now says it activates Gore Drinker.
Zaetar’s Spirit now spawns after Princess Theradras in Maraudon. Some creatures in Blackmaw Hold and The Drowned City were disengaging when they should not, and the portal now teleports you inside The Drowned City. Troggs in Grol’bolar Quarry were respawning too fast. Ridgeshade Lurkers and Krek the Noxious have correct loot. Pelluk now spawns in Swamp of Sorrows. Lasher Sproutlings, Blooming Lashers, and Wrathvine on Teldrassil are no longer immune to nature damage.
Searing Dagger only activates from spells that deal damage. Tanning Rack’s skill requirement is 125, down from 140, and its skill-ups dropped by 15 so it is not blocking leatherworking patterns that need 125 skill.
On one quest, the post says: “Resolved an issue with the quest ‘Vorsha the Lasher’ rudely lashing everyone in the zone.” It also says they “Brewed a fresh pot of Darnassus’s finest coffee for Kerlonian Evershade so he falls asleep less often” on “The Sleeper Has Awakened,” and players start with the Horn of Awakening. “Rough Wolf Pelts” cancels if you unlearn Skinning. Healing on “Rediscovering the Light,” loot visibility on “Ammo for Rumbleshot,” shared Riverglades quest drops, and spawns on “Never Saddle on Quality” are fixed. The Abomimable Head from The Baron now offers “Unending Torment” to Horde at level 15, not 16. The line on another drop is: “Damp Note drop rate increased. Eww.”
Shadowmelded druids no longer get Ravage and Pounce from a bug, and some warlock pet abilities were getting too much from Orc Command. Other players and their targets are easier to see across relatively large distances. In Thunder Bluff the barbershop was darker than intended: “We moooved the lights around.”
