Blizzard is putting Temporary Economy Holds on suspected gold buying in WoW Forever
Accounts suspected of gold buying on WoW Forever can get a Temporary Economy Hold that restricts trade, mail, guild banks, and the Auction House.

Some players have started running into the "latest weapon" against real money trade (buying and selling gold) on WoW Forever. If your account is suspected of buying or selling gold, you can end up with a Temporary Economy Hold. While that's on you, trade, mail, guild banks, and the Auction House are restricted.
"Our aim with this new system is to aggressively shut down the flow of suspicious gold before it has been transferred or put into circulation into the economy, while providing us the time needed to investigate more thoroughly."
If you're just playing normally, you probably won't see this. If you do, it either comes off once they've looked at what triggered it and it wasn't RMT, or you get actual account action if they decide you were involved.
The system is new, so there may be false positives while they fine-tune it, but a Temporary Economy Hold by itself doesn't leave a permanent strike unless they later decide it was RMT.
"We remain committed to ensure that WoW Forever is not marred by the Real Money Trade," and this will also go out to the other versions of World of Warcraft if it works.
