Know These 10 Things Before WoW Forever (Video)
Our first video: the 10 things that change how you play WoW Forever, from beta access and the December 9 raids to Legacy points and Undead Paladins.
Watch on YouTube: WoW Forever (Classic+): Know These 10 Things
This is the first video on the channel: the ten things about World of Warcraft: Forever that change how you play, counted down from 10 to 1, recorded in the hours after the BlizzCon 2026 opening ceremony. Below is the list with the sourcing behind each item, plus the places where Blizzard's own September 13 panel has since firmed things up or corrected them.
The list
10. Not everyone gets into the beta. Beta opens September 17 and runs to late October at level cap 30. The free opt-in on Battle.net gives you "a chance at Beta access." The Skyborne Epic Pack guarantees it. The Heroic Pack does not.
9. No new classes. Not at launch. The What's Next panel's long-term line was "nothing is off the table, not even new classes," and that is where it stays.
8. Three raids on December 9. Barrow Deeps at 10 players, Hyjal Summit at 20, Onyxia's Lair at 40, five weeks after the November 4 launch. In the video I call them dungeons a couple of times. They are raids.
7. The Skyborne. Sky-blue elemental elves who start on Zephras Isle, levels 1 to 12, and pick Horde or Alliance at creation. Shaman is Horde-only for them, Mage is Alliance-only. The racial table in the video comes from Wowhead's September 12 article, not from Blizzard.
6. Every race gets new racials. Blizzard confirmed on the September 13 panel that each race has two active and two passive racials, and named Undead's Touch of the Grave on stage. The individual racial values in the video are from Wowhead and from community files, so treat them as provisional.
5. The Legacy system. Points earned account-wide, spent per character (full explainer). Blizzard has since published the numbers: a cap of 16 spendable per character at launch and up to 65 available to earn. The six challenge categories I list are from Wowhead's show-floor write-up.
4. Profession bonuses. The weakest item in the video, and I said so on the card. The examples come from a community talent calculator, not Blizzard, and one of them (a Leatherworking mount speed bonus) has never existed in any version of the game. Skinning's bonus damage against Beasts and Dragonkin is the one that matches an established pattern.
3. Camping. A new profession, confirmed by the What's Next panel. Build campsites others can join, and tradeskills buff each other.
2. Three zones and nine new dungeons. Mount Hyjal, the Riverglades, and Shen'dralas, plus Zephras Isle as the Skyborne start. All nine dungeon names are in the video; Dalaran is 20 to 35, Hall of Thanes 13 to 18.
1. New race and class combos. Undead Paladins and Dwarf Shamans lead the list. Blizzard's recap names six in all: Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman, Orc Mage, Troll Warlock, and Undead Paladin.
Chapters
0:00 Intro. 0:17 Not everyone gets into the beta. 0:38 No new classes. 1:22 Three raids on December 9. 1:54 The Skyborne. 3:14 Every race gets new racials. 4:02 The Legacy system. 4:46 Profession bonuses. 5:23 Camping. 5:51 Three zones, nine dungeons. 7:00 New race and class combos.
Corrections since recording
Three, and I would rather list them here than edit the video quietly.
The card for the Legacy system originally said the perks were account-wide. Blizzard's panel says points are earned account-wide and spent per character. The card was fixed before upload; the sentence above is the accurate one.
Dwarf Shaman was a show-floor sighting when I recorded. Blizzard's panel recap now names it, so it no longer needs the caveat.
Item 4 stands as the least reliable segment. Blizzard has published no profession bonus by name. When it does, I will make a video on that alone.
Dates to write down
Beta September 17 to late October. Invite-A-Friend codes October 20. Early name reservation October 27. Launch November 4 at 3:00 p.m. PST. Raids December 9.
