WoW Forever Beta Build Brings Dalaran, Higher Dungeon XP, and Classic Looting
Blizzard's new WoW Forever Beta build opens City of Dalaran, raises dungeon XP about 20%, and brings back Classic looting.

Blizzard put a new build on the WoW Forever Beta.
Blizzard says this build "reintroduces Classic looting behavior, where creatures that dropped no loot can still be interacted with." Flickering on big creatures is fixed, and so are mobs that were pulling you from way too far away.
The new City of Dalaran dungeon is up for testing. You can swap multiple weapons in the same GCD again, like a macro from a two-hander to a sword and shield.
XP from killing stuff in dungeons is up about 20%. Party XP on lower-level enemies was getting cut off the highest-level person in the group. That's back to Classic Era, so only your own level matters. Blizzard: "We believe the combination of these two changes will dramatically increase experience earned in dungeons for most players." If somebody in the party is way higher level than the enemy, nobody gets XP, "as intended."
Rage from taking damage had a few bugs, including less Rage the more Stamina you were wearing. Warriors and Druids should be getting more Rage from hits now. Blizzard retuned that around the armor you have by level, about 20% to 40% reduction, not the 50% they'd been assuming.
Druids can use Mana Potions in Bear, Dire Bear, and Cat Form. Bear and Dire Bear threat is higher, Thorns base damage is back to the Vanilla numbers, and Cat Form doesn't cut your max health anymore. Separate from the Druid stuff: Penance counts as a 2-second channel, and you need Deep Wounds again to get Impale.
Cooldown Manager works for every class now, plus racials and trinkets. Everyone on Beta has the Legacy Challenge done, which is 16 Legacy Points. The cheapest Legacy re-spec is 1s on Beta, and you get one of those back per hour.
Shoulders on the new armor sets are the right size. Wolfshead Helm gives 5 extra Energy when you use Shifting Power. Some dungeon quest rewards went from Rare to Uncommon, and the stats were changed to match.
