Blizzard has closed the WoW Forever beta and said it is "incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us over the last five weeks of playtesting, data gathering, bug reporting, and feedback."

With testing over, Blizzard is spending the next few days on priority bugs and the game service so the game is ready for launch on November 4.

Character creation opens Tuesday, October 27, so you can pick your ruleset and lock in a name before launch. Blizzard put it in one line: "You won't have to wait until the game launches to make these big decisions."

Also next week, the WoW Forever Podcast continues. The episodes already out are Episode 1, Unpacking Beta Launch, with Xaryu; Episode 2, Speed Running Classes, with sodapoppin; Episode 3, Dive Into Dungeons With Devs, with Hammerdancegaming; Episode 4, The PvP Episode, with TipsOutBaby and Savixirl; and Episode 5, End of Beta Special.

There's more on the site too, including dungeons, the Campfire system, and raids.

Blizzard closed by saying it is "deeply grateful to have seen so many people find their Forever home, and create new communities, and find friends (old and new) to join," and that it is "really looking forward to seeing you on November 4."
