WoW Forever Racial Abilities Get a Final Pass

Blizzard is prioritizing racial identity for WoW Forever, rolling some generic racials back and tuning passives for Human, Dwarf, Tauren, Orc, and Skyborne.

Blizzard is doing a final pass on racial abilities and passive traits. A lot of people have been saying the new racials feel generic, and that some are just stronger than others.

From Blizzard: "In taking a final pass on these, we’ve prioritized racial identity, which means that some races will naturally be slightly more effective than others at certain combat roles." Where they had swapped role- or class-focused racials for generic ones, those are coming back. Weapon specialization racials are the exception, so stuff like Human Sword Specialization and Orc Axe Specialization isn’t coming back. "While those have a strong fantasy component to them, it is not healthy in the long run for future raid and dungeon loot tables to be evaluated through the lens of \"required\" weapon types." Blizzard is also tuning the passive bonuses that are staying so they don’t force your race pick.

Ruthless is 1% crit now (was 2%). Human Spirit is 10% Spirit (was 5%). Earth Fury (2% crit damage and healing) is off dwarves, replaced by Artisan’s Precision, 1% hit with spells and attacks. Plainsrunning is 2% movement speed per stack (was 1%), 60% max (was 30%), and it doesn’t buff mount speed anymore. Endurance is just 5% health now. Savage (1% crit) is off orcs. Command is back, 5% Warlock and Hunter pet damage.

Skyborne’s Wind-Blessed haste is 2% (was 3%). Read Leyline is 50% mana and health regen for 15 seconds (was 100%), and you can’t use it while Innervate is active. At a Ley Line it also gives Attuned for 1 hour, which bumps that regen to 100%, and Attuned sticks through death. Skysight is 15% movement speed for 15 seconds (was 10%). At an elemental convergence it also gives Charged for 1 hour, which bumps that to 30%, and Charged sticks through death.
